If the name is familiar to you, it’s because this bunk bed is considered a smaller brother (in terms of price and size) of another Bedz King product.
Although it’s almost twice as cheap, it doesn’t really disappoint me – material is very respectable, it has stairs that are quite rare at this price point, and it’s designed well so sturdiness is superb.
The material, by the way, is pine, and although pine is known as softwood – weaker material than hardwood – it is not a typical pine. It’s a Brazilian pine, and that makes it equivalent to the hardwood. The price is also a lot higher, so if you are wondering why it’s almost 600 dollars, it’s because of that, and stairs.
Just like his bigger brother. this one can be converted into 2 single beds. Be aware though that once it’s assembled as a two-level bunk bed, it will be difficult to reassemble it into two smaller ones.
Speaking of assembly, there are some things you should know. Instructions are not difficult to follow, but all the parts are not labeled, and there are A LOT of parts. It may take you a better part of the day to fully put together. If you have anyone to help, I would advise you to do it together. Especially considering that this bed weighs 233 pounds… yeah, a fat smaller brother.
