Metal bunk beds aren’t something I like to advocate for, but considering how well this one works I can make an exception.
It got a place in my ‘TOP 3 best inexpensive bunk beds list‘ and if you know my hate for metal furniture material, you’d know it’s a big deal. The reason it’s in such a high place in people’s eyes is its incredible sturdiness, low price, fast assembly and modern style.
At this current moment, it’s also one of the top sellers on Amazon. The fact that it supports as much as 450 lbs on the bottom means that even adults can sleep below. Kids will have no problems with this bed, and considering that metal is known as being very sturdy, you won’t be seeing any swaying and you won’t have to worry about the bunk bed breaking. It’s fairly safe and simplistic. One of the things you have to be cautious of though are ladders – I hate them. It’s designed so horribly that your kids might even want to jump up on the top bunk without using the ladder. First of all, they are vertical which makes climbing down very uncomfortable. Another uncomfortable thing is the rail design – they are just too thin. That can be bearable for the first few days but after a while, you do start to wish the surface of them was flat. It just hurts legs, especially when your kids grow up. Luckily, I have a workaround for it, so should you wish to buy this bunk bed, check out this article and scroll down.
