Aren’t triple bunk beds for kids just awesome!? A lot better than regular bunk beds…

Or are they now? If you have 3 kids in your family, and you are thinking of getting an AWESOME triple bunk bed so they can all fit inside without taking much room space, then you are not alone.

An ENORMOUS amount of people are searching for the exact kind of products. Since I specialize in bunk beds, my job is to inform you what products are good, and which are bad. And trust me, there is a lot of garbage out there that shouldn’t even be available.

So what bunk bed should I get for my children?

This answer may surprise you a bit, but I actually don’t even recommend three-way bunk beds. Why? Well, there are plenty of reasons but don’t worry, I have a perfect solution for 3 of your kids. Before that though, let me explain why triple bunk beds are the WORST! Let’s start with security.

You buy a bunk bed to save some space in your room, right? There is a lot more room, and it creates that nostalgic and cozy feeling. I remember when I had a bunk bed, and it was one of my favorite furniture in the house. I LOVED IT! And so do my kids right now.

But if we add a third level to it, things change quite a bit. First of all, there is a higher risk of your child injuring himself if he somehow fell off the bed. With a regular double bunk bed height, it’s not really an issue since its height is around 65 inches (1.65m). Kids won’t hurt themselves. But if we add an extra bed, this is where things get dangerous.

On top of the fact that it’s not really safe, your upper bunk girl or a boy is going to be banging his/her head on a ceiling quite often. Not a good thing.Triple Bunk Beds for KidsWell, you might say “I’ve seen triple bunk beds that were much lower in height, why couldn’t I buy them?”

That is also not a good solution, especially if you want to give as much comfort for your kids as possible. 1st and 2nd bed level kids will have so little space for free movement, you might find them sleeping on the floor the next morning you wake them up.

So What Solution is the Best if I Want Bunk Beds?

A mix of bunk and loft beds! I can’t recommend them enough for parents who have 3 twins. Not only does it save space, but it lets your children have a lot more room to wiggle.

It looks insanely good, and you’ll have an extra space to put a table, drawer, or whatever you choose under the third bed. That way you can have a lot more room for room design.

What L shaped loft bunk bed do I recommend then?

I had to go through a lot of beds that simply weren’t qualified for the job. Kids have to sleep the majority of their childhood in the bed, so that means it’s our job to give them the best product.

I picked Chelsea Home bed because it is made out of solid pine, which gives it a tremendous durability and strength. Nothing that your kids do can damage or break it. That is one of my main criteria’s when I pick bunk beds.

It supports up to 300 lbs and has a lot of room for growth. It might be a bit big for 3-year-olds, but once they start growing, THEY START GROWING. They are like mushrooms, don’t know when it ends. With the product I recommend, you’ll have plenty of growth room so you won’t have to search for a new bed every 4 years. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

I especially like the free space it provides under the 3rd boy or a girl. It doesn’t come with the storage or drawer that is shown in the picture so make sure to utilize the space by putting something underneath it. I would imagine a school desk would a great choice! I’ll probably make an article soon; show what the is the best furniture that could fit in there.

Also, keep in mind that it can only look like that. You can’t change the position of the beds to prefer one angle over another. Unless you custom drill the holes of course. But if it’s possible, leave it like that and find a corner that fits it well.

It’s a great bunk bed for 3 children, so don’t waste any time, get it for your kids!

But what if I still want a triple bunk bed for kids?

Well, then it really narrows down in terms of choices. I wouldn’t really recommend them, but if there is no other option, this is the one I would get:

This is the only three-level bunk bed I might close an eye on. It is of great material, it removes the trundle under the bed for extra space, and it looks really good. In terms of visuals, I’d say it’s one of the best looking. They can look good in general. But, of course, tastes are different, and when I write about furniture, the clash of tastes is bound to happen.

Luckily, I don’t only rely on how good it looks, so in terms of efficiency, this bed passes my grades.

If you don’t have appropriate mattresses, check out my official recommendation: Signature sleep mattress.

The bed itself is made in England, and they usually have tighter mattresses. The mattress above should be a good fit.

Also, if you are able, you can build three-way bunk beds yourself! It will take more effort and time, but if you can, why not? Here is an awesome example of how someone built it from the scratch:

That’s it for today, these triple bunk beds for kids that I mentioned are the only ones I recommend. I will be posting new content regularly to keep you all up to date what is available.
